On February 15, 2008, WesternOne Equity completed the purchase of the assets and business of Deerfoot Equipment Rentals, operating as Volvo Rents in Calgary and Lethbridge.

Deerfoot Rentals is a leading player in the Southern Alberta equipment rental industry. Management of Deerfoot Rentals is focused on residential, commercial and infrastructure construction equipment rentals within the Calgary and Lethbridge markets. Deerfoot Rentals is a Volvo Rents franchisee.

This is the fourth acquisition that WesternOne Equity has completed in the equipment rental industry in Western Canada, with locations in Port Coquitlam, Victoria (2), Comox and Courtenay in BC, and Calgary and Lethbridge in Alberta.

Sure-Fire Propane and Davis Heater Service

On October 1, 2008 WesternOne Equity completed the acquisition of the assets of SureFire Propane Ltd. and Davis Heater Service Ltd., an equipment rental, construction heat and propane distribution business with locations in Edmonton and Calgary.
